Competitors Announced for 4th Annual Food Fight in Lafreniere Park

NEW ORLEANS (press release) – The 4th Annual Food Fight, presented by Stella Artois, is set to return on Thursday, March 27. The showdown will take place at the Carousel Lawn at Lafreniere Park in Metairie. Organized by Yeah You Right Events, this one-night-only event promises a diverse and exciting mix of exceptional food, cocktails and live entertainment – all in support of the PLEASE Foundation, a local non-profit dedicated to providing mentorship, leadership training and scholarships for at-risk teens attending college-preparatory high schools in the New Orleans area.

Returning as defending champions, Wonderland + Sea will face off against 40 of New Orleans’ finest restaurants in a fierce competition for the coveted NOLA BOARDS trophies. With 20 spirit sponsors offering delightful cocktail tastings, attendees and celebrity judges will determine the winners in five categories: Top Traditional Dish, Top Creative Dish, Top Vegetarian Dish, Top Classic Cocktail, and Top Creative Cocktail.

“We’ve found that Lafreniere Park is the perfect venue for our events,” said event organizer Shane Finkelstein. “This year, we have the most diverse lineup of restaurants we’ve ever had, and it’s going to be an unforgettable night.”

In addition to the delicious food and cocktails, this year’s Food Fight will feature live entertainment from James Andrews and the Crescent City All-Stars, a silent disco by The Dohm Collective, performances by Trixie Minx Burlesque, DJs, and an exclusive VIP experience presented by Diageo Spirits. VIP ticket holders will enjoy bites from the Michael Gulotta Family of Restaurants – TanaMopho, and Maypop – paired with spirits from Ketel OneCasamigos, and Bailey’s Irish Cream. The VIP experience also includes a Crawfish Boil by Seither’s Seafood and decadent desserts from Laurel Street Bakery.
