NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Patrick Brennan, who acquired New Orleans coffee company Congregation Coffee Roasters last month, announced that Congregation’s Algiers Point café (240 Pelican Ave.) is now open for business with starting hours of operation Thursday – Monday, 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. The café will serve its traditional coffee menu – year-round staple blends (see below) as well as rotating seasonal single origin coffees and bagged coffees for home – along with breakfast pastries and more from the Ralph Brennan Bakery and Congregation Coffee merchandise.
Congregation has also announced its retail coffee is now available to purchase online at www.congregationcoffee.com with weekly, bi-weekly or monthly home delivery options. And just in time for the holidays, Congregation’s gifted monthly coffee subscription (3, 6 or 12 month gifting options) is now live to send the gift of coffee directly to your loved one’s doorstep.
“I’m excited to reopen Congregation’s café to bring back quality coffee and recreate a space that brings the vibrant community members of Algiers Point together,” said Brennan. “This is just the start of great things to come for this brand, and I’m thankful to be a part of it.”
Congregation Blends:
- High Walk: Signature blend. Round and sweet on the palate with some nutty chocolate on the nose and a medium body. A perfect morning cup.
- Gallop: Espresso blend. Nutty flavor up front that moves into a milk chocolatey sweetness. Great both as a shot of espresso or with milk.
- Low Walk: Decaf blend. Rich, sweet and smooth.
- Spots: Everyday coffee. Very drinkable medium roasted coffee.
- Tail Walk: Coffee and Chicory blend. With roots in New Orleans, Congregation blends chicory coffee as a bridge between traditional New Orleans and modern coffee culture.
- Ardi: This natural processed coffee from Ethiopia is so sweet and juicy, you might mistake it for a gusher candy. Enjoy it in any brew method. As espresso, the fresh strawberry shines. As drip coffee, the sweet berry jam cools into decadent milk chocolate. As a cold brew, it recalls a melted red popsicle.
