Contemporary Arts Center Announces Petite Sweet: A Ball For All

NEW ORLEANS (press release) – The Contemporary Arts Center, New Orleans (CAC), will launch a new summer fundraiser on June 24, from 7:00 p.m. – 12:30 a.m., at the CAC, 900 Camp St. PETITE SWEET: A BALL FOR ALL was envisioned in the spirit of the CACs commitment to local artists and arts and with an expanded understanding of what the arts encompass across all of our diverse communities.

Petite Sweet: A Ball for All embraces the electric energy of New Orleans. I’m excited for this upcoming party where the young creative community comes together to ignite inspiration and celebrate boundless artistic expression,” said Wayne Clark, Petite Sweet Committee Chair, owner of Mr. Wolf Espresso + Books, entrepreneur, and supporter of local creatives.

Featuring live performances by Fermin Ceballos and Da Bucket Bangas; DJ sets from Dr. Romance and Mikey Offline, Experiential Art Activations by Fat Kids from Outer Space, Roaming Photo Booth by Mirror Image Photo Booths, Nail Art by Antonia José Villa & Katalina Mitchell, Fashion Showcase featuring local designers: 8.16 Studio, DK Knitwear, Double RR, Grimaldi Official, and Ninth Denim; Culinary Arts by Codey’s NOLA; Open Bar, supported by our preferred spirits partner, Hendrick’s Gin; and so much more! The evening is sure to be a night not to miss – the excitement, fantastic libations, amazing food, and cutting edge entertainment!

Since the CAC’s beginnings in 1976, the purpose of the CAC has been to foster a sustainable and collaborative contemporary arts community in New Orleans and throughout the region, fostering awareness of new ideas in the contemporary arts; providing local artists exhibition/performance space to experiment within, professional development opportunities, and a community network; and enhancing the contemporary arts scene in New Orleans though the presentation of artists of national or regional reputation. Petite Sweet: A Ball for All hopes to add to that tradition, bringing young, new, and diverse creatives together in the spirit of community, helping form new networks and opportunities.
