It wasn’t until I became a homeowner that I understood how many shades of white exist. When our decorator rolled in with a packet of white paint swatches for our walls, my mind was blown. Each coated piece of paper carried a different interpretation of what I previously thought of as simply, white. And this color revelation had even more implications for my wardrobe. My favorite white pieces (set aside for summer) were actually in the cream family! Not vanilla, snow, ivory or clamshell, but cream! The color I had isolated from its winter friends, was now fair game all year long. No one says you can’t wear cream after Labor Day, do they?
