There is no question that we live in the best city in the world when it comes to the thrill of drinking great cocktails. This Memorial Day weekend get out and enjoy what bartenders have to offer, as we challenge you to try something new, something outside of your comfort zone.

Beachbum Berry’s Latitude 29 (321 N. Peters St.) – Experience happy hour everyday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The bottled beers are $3 each and include Paradise Park, Red Stripe, Kirin Ichiban, Kona Longboard Island Lager and Abita Light. There is also a list of specialty tiki cocktails that are all rum based and will run you $9 each. The atmosphere is great and would be a refreshing stop during this holiday weekend. Bonus: They have great food, too.
Lula Restaurant Distillery (1532 St Charles Ave.) – In the heart of New Orleans sits this great place with a happy hour that runs Monday- Thursday from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. They offer expertly crafted spirits and cocktails in a privately-owned micro-distillery. During happy hour you can get $5 cocktails made with Lula spirits, which include: mojito, French 75, Vodka Basil Smash, Cucumber Vodka Collins, Gin and tonic, rum and cola with lime, and a refreshing gin drinks with lemon and honey. Not only can you take in the scenic view of the historic street, but you’ll also enjoy excellent drinks and a great price. They also have a selection of $5 appetizers. This is a great stop to make with family and friends.
