NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Crescent Canna, a New Orleans-based cannabis company, will be the official VIP sponsor of Bayou Boogaloo, which is taking place on Bayou St. John from May 19 – May 21. This is the first New Orleans music festival to be sponsored by a cannabis company. “We’re honored to sponsor one of the fastest growing and most fun festivals in our city,” says Crescent Canna CEO Joe Gerrity. “Bayou Boogaloo holds a special place in my heart, and I can’t wait to introduce my fellow festivalgoers to Crescent 9 THC Seltzer.”
Launched during this year’s Mardi Gras, Crescent 9 THC Seltzer is available in more than a hundred stores and bars throughout New Orleans, including popular establishments like Tipitina’s, Maple Leaf Bar, and The Country Club. View the growing list here.
“We’re happy to be carrying Crescent 9 THC Seltzer at Tipitina’s,” says Tipitina’s owner and Galactic bassist Robert Mercurio. “It’s a natural fit for a club like ours, plus it’s tasty and refreshing. Very soon, we expect almost all of the bars and clubs to be carrying Crescent 9, and the Tipitina’s family is excited to be among the first in New Orleans to have it behind the bar.”
Made with 6 mg of Delta-9 THC, 3 mg of CBD, and a splash of caffeine, Crescent 9 provides an uplifting and euphoric vibe that’s perfect for socializing. Since it’s made from hemp and contains less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC on a dry-weight basis, it’s federally legal for adults over the age of 21 to purchase and consume. Crescent 9 also complies with Louisiana hemp laws and is registered with the Louisiana Department of Health.
As part of Crescent 9’s official VIP sponsorship of Bayou Boogaloo, VIP ticket holders will get three free cans of Crescent 9 THC Seltzer and it will also be available for attendees over the age of 21 to buy at all festival bars. The three-day festival will feature local food, art vendors, and performances by Juvenile, Boyfriend, Yonder Mountain Spring band, Reverend Horton Heat, Rebirth Brass Band, and others.
“We’re thrilled to offer festivalgoers an alternative to beer, wine, and spirits,” says Jared Zeller, president of the board of Friends of Bayou St. John, which organizes the festival. “The seltzer category is booming, and many people who don’t drink alcohol are looking for something different. THC beverages have become popular in many parts of the country, and it’s exciting that Crescent Canna is making its mark with a local THC seltzer.”
