Crescent City Stage Presents “Tiny Beautiful Things” Through May 25

NEW ORLEANS (press release) – “Tiny Beautiful Things” will continue its run at the Marquette Theater on the Loyola University campus through May 25.

Those behind the production shared, in a world that often feels frayed at the edges, “Tiny Beautiful Things” arrives like a handwritten letter from an old friend – honest, intimate, and deeply healing – in this bold and heart-forward stage adaptation of Cheryl Strayed’s beloved book. This is now playing at the Marquette Theater on the Loyola campus through May 25.

Adapted for the stage by Nia Vardalos (My Big Fat Greek Wedding) and based on Strayed’s time as the anonymous advice columnist “Sugar,” “Tiny Beautiful Things” is a tapestry of letters from seekers of all kinds – and Sugar’s fearless, compassionate replies. What unfolds is a riveting and deeply moving evening of theatre sharing a portrait of resilience, grief, love, and forgiveness.

The production features original music by Academy Award Winner Donald Markowitz featuring Grammy Nominated Preservation Hall trumpet player Branden Lewis.
