Culture Collision at the Ogden Museum August 28

Culture Collision at the Ogden Museum August 28NEW ORLEANS (July 8, 2019) – Now in its 11th year, Culture Collision will kick off the 2019-2020 cultural season on Wednesday, Aug. 28 from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

Presented by WWNO and hosted by the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, this one-of-a-kind cultural celebration brings together patrons and artists for a self-guided tour of New Orleans’ arts, culture, and humanities nonprofit organizations.

Free and open to all, guests will stroll throughout the Ogden Museum to encounter an expected 60 nonprofit organizations that help make New Orleans such a vibrant cultural mecca. Ranging from the city’s classic arts institutions to its resourceful contemporary newcomers, this happy hour event reflects the diversity of the city’s creative community.

WWNO launched Culture Collision in 2008 to raise awareness of the significant impact of the cultural community on the local economy and to provide a platform for collaboration and promotion among cultural organizations.

“From its first year, Culture Collision has featured the broadest range of New Orleans’ cultural endeavors,” said Paul Maassen, WWNO general manager. “WWNO is proud that Culture Collision is at the intersection of so many streams of local artistic expression.”

Attendees can look forward to an exhibition of the powerful creative energy of the city, along with drink specials, free giveaways, exclusive promotions, and live performances.
