Why did you start Gia’s Boutique? I was a practicing Registered Nurse; I started Gia’s Boutique because I knew deep down that my real passion was for business and fashion.

How did you get started? Gia’s Boutique originally started out as a web store, and from its success we added a retail location on one of the best streets in the world.

Why is there a need for Gia’s? Being fashion forward doesn’t mean paying a huge price tag for everything. At Gia’s, most items are under $75. With a focus on fashion trends, we also stock classic pieces. Mothers and daughters can shop together on any budget.

What are your favorite items in the store right now? It is tough to pick only a few but I’d have to say our sequin holiday dresses – we have numerous styles and the colors are amazing! I also love our vests; they can be dressed up or down and you can layer them, so they’re perfect for weather in New Orleans.

How has business been so far? Great! I love being on Magazine Street and helping locals and tourists from all over the world find fantastic pieces that suit them.

What’s coming in for spring? Lots of things, including maxi dresses, which are so easy to wear and accessorize, and are a staple for girls on the go.
