Deanie’s Seafood has served high quality U.S. farm-raised catfish from Simmons Catfish in Yazoo City, Mississippi, for more than 30 years.

“We are proud to serve and celebrate local seafood from the Gulf, from certified Wild Louisiana shrimp, oysters, crawfish, blue crab and flounder to premium Mississippi farm-raised catfish that we have sourced from the same farm for over 30 years,” said Barbara Chifici, Deanie’s Seafood Restaurants proprietor.

The U.S. Farm Raised Catfish  Farm-raised catfish is one of the most affordable, environmentally sustainable sources of high-quality protein available to American consumers today. Catfish is by far the widest produced freshwater fish in the country, and farm-raised catfish is the largest aquaculture in the United States. Farm-raised catfish has been one of the top 10 most-consumed seafoods in the United States for the past 20 years.

Ninety-four percent of all U.S. farm-raised catfish is raised in Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi, and catfish contributes about $4 billion per year to each of the states’ economies, according to The Catfish Institute.
