Daughters of Charity Services of New Orleans hosted its inaugural “Keeping Our Promises” gala at the First NBC Bank on Baronne Street on Saturday, March 10. Co-chairs Patricia C. Denechaud and Charles L. Rice Jr. presented its first-ever Inspired Cross Awards to executive vice president of Iberia Bank M. Cleland Powell III and President and C.E.O of Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans, First NBC bank and the Louisiana Public Health Institute Gordon R. Wadge. These prestigious awards will be given annually to those who fulfill the Daughters of Charity Services of New Orleans’ mission.
The evening began with a patron party that included entertainment by No Gimmicks. The fundraising gala followed and featured Phillips Mannnel and Leah Chase as its headliners. Dave McNamara of Fox 8 was the gala’s master of ceremonies.
Broussards, Dooky Chase restaurant, Fleur de Lis catering and Highlights Catering provided food for the fundraiser. Crescent Crown Distributors and Republic National Distributing Company provided the beverages. Holiday Decorators arranged the event’s floral masterpieces.
The Daughters of Charity Services of New Orleans provides healthcare to every member of the New Orleans community, no matter their income level or insurance plan, and has been doing so for over 175 years.
