Diane Lyons of New Orleans is an acclaimed meeting and events planner, so “launching” comes naturally – hence the inspiration for FestiGals, an annual celebration of women. Recognizing there wasn’t a female-focused festival that inspired, connected and celebrated women, Lyons created the nonprofit initiative in 2011. Combining festivity and education in a full weekend experience, FestiGals has empowered scores of women from across the country and raised over $250,000 to support the well-being of local women.
