Voted “Favorite Asian Restaurant” by the readers of New Orleans Magazine in the 2011 Tops of the Town awards, Five Happiness has been serving the city for more than 30 years.
Popular among families, the restaurant is known to serve classic Chinese dishes focusing on spices. The chef recommends the house-baked duck, shrimp with honey-roasted pecan and asparagus with chicken. A party room, the Imperial Room, is also available for rent for private parties up to 150 people. Antoine’s summer special
Historic Antoine’s Restaurant kicks off the season with its latest campaign “Hot Summer Days, Cool Summer Specials.” For $20.11, one can get a three-course lunch special Monday through Saturday. The meal features a choice of appetizer, including Oysters 1-1-1 featuring the Oysters Rockefeller [pictured with Chef Michael Regua], entrée, dessert and 25-cent featured martini.
The Hermes Bar hosts happy hour Monday through Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. Drink specials include $4 house brands, $3 imported beers and $2 domestic beers, and from 9:30 p.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, the bar hosts live music.
