Chef Dave Gotter’s Gott Gourmet Café has a simple philosophy: “homemade, fresh and unique.” Offering sandwiches, salads, soups and burgers, this café gives “food lovers a fine dining detail in the most casual of dishes.” With a special weekend breakfast menu, house-cured meats, homemade dressings and some organic products, this restaurant gives the diner a comfortable choice. Although food is its focus, Gott Gourmet offers biodegradable products such as cups, containers and straws that are better for the environment.

Bar and Burgers at Sandestin

Re-opened in April at Sandestin, Barefoot’s Beachside Bar and Grill offers a full menu of ocean-inspired choices to fit the scenery and tease the taste buds. A variety of house drinks (offered in souvenir glasses), frozen specialties, wines and beers accompany meal choices to complete lunch service beachside at the Hilton. Located between two outdoor pools, the new location, open seasonally, has a casual dress code and can be accessed until the early evening (11 a.m.-6 p.m.).

Houma’s Café Dominique

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Café Dominique features locally harvested seafood, humanely raised meats and mostly organically grown produce. With Creole, East Asian, Mediterranean and more flavors filling the menu, this restaurant can please just about everyone’s palate. Diners can choose indoor or outdoor seating to experience a menu that changes daily. An in-house bakery allows this restaurant to create specialty desserts and artisan breads.

Café Dominique brings a café and bistro to downtown Houma with local organic products and hints of Louisiana cuisine as its forefront.
