Square Root to Offer Abbreviated Eight- to Nine-Course Menu
1800 Magazine St., 309-7800, SquareRootNola.com
Chef Phillip Lopez’s newly opened Square Root restaurant in the Lower Garden District will offer a $95 eight- to nine-course tasting menu on Tuesdays through Thursdays. The original 12- to 15-course menu will continue on Fridays and Saturdays. “The smaller menu will be available on weeknights when our guests have less time to spend eating out, but still want to experience the art of the meal,” says Lopez. The chef’s award-winning progressive cooking will still be on full display in the shortened menus for the restaurant’s nightly maximum of 16 diners. Note: The cocktail and charcuterie bar on the second floor, Root2, requires no reservations.
