Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city, one of Houmas House Plantation’s on-site restaurants, Latil’s Landing, is situated in a 230-year old house with original beamed ceilings, cypress mantels, wood-burning fireplaces and wood floors. Chef Jeremy Langlois says highlights of the fall menu will include bisque of curried pumpkin, crawfish and corn; rabbit and Andouille gumbo; lobster and Creole tomato risotto; veal chop; and rack of lamb.

In July, Tulane alumni Barbara and Jerry Greenbaum opened Chophouse in the space formerly occupied by Cuvée on Magazine Street.
