Dr. Kristy Charles is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in medical, cosmetic and procedural dermatology at Sanova Dermatology. She works with her patients to develop personalized routines to prevent the development of skin cancers.
Dr. Charles graduated first in her class at Tulane University School of Medicine, completed her residency at the University of Michigan, advanced her diagnostic skills at the Cleveland Clinic and returned to New Orleans to work alongside Dr. Sharon Meyer at Sanova Dermatology – Uptown.
She belongs to the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and the Women’s Dermatologic Society. She has been published in both melanoma and infectious diseases. She has a special interest in alopecia, as well as advanced dermoscopy skills to allow for early detection of skin cancers. Her expertise in cosmetic procedures also includes injectable fillers, neurotoxins, chemical peels, sclerotherapy, pigmented lesions, facial rejuvenation and more.
