In the presence of their family and close friends, Jaime Michelle Dvornak and Patrick Ryan Mackey were joined in marriage on June 22, 2007 on Santa Rosa Beach at sunset. Reverend William Russell officiated. Patrick and Jaime have always loved the beach, so it was no surprise when they decided on a beach wedding. They chose the Watercolor Inn on Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., where the beaches are rumored to be the most beautiful in the world.
The bride is the daughter of Michael and Bethany Dvornak, and Heidi Rogers. She is the granddaughter of Michael and Pauline Dvornak, Herbert and Elaine Acosta, and Anthony and Darlene Canzonari. The groom is the son of Becky and Thomas Mackey, Jr., and Kathy Zimmerman. He is the grandson of the late Thomas O. Mackey, Sr. and Jean Mackey.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a formal, strapless silk gown with intricate beading from Linda Lee Bridal in Metairie and carried a vibrant, hand-tied bouquet of orchids. The maid of honor wore an apple green, mid-length dress and also carried a hand-tied bouquet of orchids. Avant-garde Hair Studio did the bridal party’s hard and Hyland Cassagne artfully applied their makeup. Tuxedos were supplied by After Hours and the beautiful invitations came from The Write Collection.
The ceremony was decorated with Florida’s powder-white sand, emerald green water and the setting sun. Two columns framed the altar, each with a large arrangement of orchids. Nuptial music was provided by an acoustic guitarist, accompanied by the waves of the Gulf breaking along the shore. Carla Cleveland served as wedding coordinator.
Jordan Dvornak served her sister as maid of honor and Thomas Mackey III served his brother as best man. Michael Dvornak was his sister’s ring bearer and Karen Stieglar was the flower girl. Darin Acosta and Malachi Dvornak were the couple’s ushers.
Following the ceremony, guests were led over the sandy dunes to the pool at Watercolor Inn for a cocktail hour. The guests were served drinks and hors d’oeuvres, prepared by Fish Out of Water. After the cocktail hour, guests moved to a beautifully lit courtyard for the reception, with music played by DJ Vladimir. The newlyweds and their guests enjoyed beautiful food, also prepared by Fish Out of Water, and danced the night away. Guests also enjoyed a gorgeous four-tiered cake, artfully decorated with vibrant tropical flowers and a strawberry-flavored groom’s cake that bore the Red Sox logo.
Following their week-long honeymoon in the beautiful beachside town of Seaside, Fla., the couple resides in Sierra Vista, Ariz., where Patrick serves in the U.S. Army and Jaime continues her studies.
