7 Proposed Speech Lines
Mayor Ray Nagin is in China this week reportedly to help promote tourism and trade. Since the trip there can be fatiguing and he may not have had time to work on all his comments, we offer these speech lines:
On Crime
Y’all’s policemen here in Beijing have some nice uniforms although they are different than I expected. Back home we had a Chinese sheriff who wore a cowboy hat and boots.
On World Peace
We should all try to get along, but if someone gives you too much sass take them into the alley and coldcock them.
On Overpopulation
Get your congressman to ask for some FEMA trailers.
On Historic Monuments
I hope your Great Wall is better at holding back the Huns that ours was at holding back the lake.
On Preparations for the Beijing Summer Olympics
So that’s what cranes in the skyline looks like!
On Global Warming
Entergy needs to get off its ass and cool things down a bit.
On Tourism
Y’all should come to Mardi Gras and catch back the beads that you made.
