Jazz Museum’s Latest
The New Orleans Jazz Museum is housed in the historic Old U.S. Mint building, situated at the intersection between the French Quarter and Frenchman Street’s live music corridor. It includes a $4 million, state-of-the-art performance space, where there are sublime performances from some of the city’s leading artists. In addition to permanent exhibitions, the museum hosts continuous temporary exhibitions throughout the year. Currently on display is “Jazz En Route to France 1917-1918,” which examines how black military bands stationed in France helped popularize jazz in Paris during World War I.
