As a family business, what are you able to offer customers in terms of service?
I was born and raised in New Orleans and turned my residential building business into Oasis Pools and Spas, LLC. in 1997. Many pool builders boast about building the most pools. We think differently. At Oasis, we pride ourselves on being a smaller, custom builder that focuses on exceptional customer service above all else. My two sons and I supervise the process from initial consultation to the pool’s completion, so there is always a Stanton close at hand to oversee that the work is done just right.
Can you explain the value of gunite as opposed to traditional shotcrete construction?
Gunite allows for optimal durability and strength with endless customizability. Unlike shot-crete pools, gunite pools don’t have cold joints and flex up to 30%, making them a superior material.
What awards are you the most proud of?
In 2025, we were voted the Gold Award Winner for Best Pools & Spas in “The Best of St. Tammany”, as well as Best Pool Design Company in New Orleans Homes. That level of community support after so many years makes us proud that our neighbors value our work and keep us busy every year.
