Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital

Diseases and physical conditions affect children differently than adults requiring specialized medical treatments, instruments, and approach to care. Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital in Baton Rouge has over 100 pediatricians and more than 60 pediatric specialists dedicated to treating the unique medical needs of children. One of those specialists is Dr. Brannon Alberty, a pediatric gastroenterologist who helps children with issues of the gastrointestinal tract, liver and pancreas.  Alberty said, “We take a family-centered approach and are sensitive to the emotional needs of children, which is why I leave my white coat behind to reduce anxiety when visiting and examining patients and to help them feel safe.”
