For 20 years, Dan Shapiro helped build Krispy Krunchy Chicken into a national chain, and now that legacy continues through Allie Shapiro Dandry, the current Director of Philanthropy for Krispy Krunchy Foods LLC; who brings community conscious innovation to this beloved New Orleans brand.
A Tulane graduate with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing, a Master’s Degree in Neuroscience, and a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience; Shapiro Dandry started with the company in 2011, as the Director of Marketing, and expanded Krispy Krunchy’s social media and digital outreach onto multiple platforms that instigated massive cultural growth and recognition.
Shapiro Dandry spearheaded the launch of a mobile food truck system to serve communities in the aftermath of natural disasters. During the COVID-19 pandemic, this initiative fed over 15,000 people. Shapiro Dandry grew that program into a full CSR strategy and will soon serve as the Executive Director of the Krispy Krunchy Foundation, which will work to address food inequity/ food insecurity.
A devoted wife and mother of one, Shapiro Dandry is also a dedicated philanthropist and is on the board of many non-profit organizations, including the Junior League of New Orleans and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
