At the University of Holy Cross (UHC), it’s not one administrator or faculty member who is the face of higher education—it’s the students that fill that role.
“It is our mission to educate the minds and hearts of students,” says Stanton F. McNeely III, Ed.D., President. “Without students, there is no mission.”
UHC is an inclusive student-centered learning community focused on academic excellence and innovative teaching. Rooted in the Catholic traditions of the Marianites of Holy Cross, the University is committed to educating the minds and hearts of its students through freedom of inquiry, the pursuit of truth, and compassionate care for all.
UHC is a family, a place where professors know their students by name. Students—many of which are first generation—enjoy and benefit from the personal connections they make and one-on-one attention.
Ninety-five percent of UHC alumni remain in Greater New Orleans after graduation and represent the best in local industries: education, counseling, nursing, health science, food science, business, and liberal arts. Because local hospitals, school systems, and companies want UHC graduates, job placement is near 100 percent.
