Dr. Tonya Wright
The Tulane Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology proudly welcomes Dr. Tonya Wright as the newest member of its renowned team of physicians. A native of Anguilla in the Eastern Caribbean, Dr. Wright received an academic scholarship to Trent University in Canada where she completed her undergraduate work before accepting a scholarship to study medicine at Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Wright joins Tulane’s team after serving as Chief Resident at the esteemed Pennsylvania Hospital and completing the month-long Harrison’s fellowship in Ghana. As a world traveler and globally minded individual, Dr. Wright enjoys working with diverse populations and looks forward to serving patients in a city as dynamic as New Orleans. As an OB/GYN Generalist and Minimally Invasive Surgeon, Dr. Wright will welcome patients from the Tulane Center for Women’s Health – Lakeside beginning September 1.
