“Every project we take on is different, and that’s one of the most exciting and challenging parts of the job,” explains Martin Romero, PLA, ASLA, Principal & Landscape Architect for ILEX. “Some properties come to us as a blank slate, which gives us the freedom to start with creativity, collaborating with clients to imagine the possibilities. Other projects, however, come with existing conditions or challenges —established trees, structures, drainage issues, limited space, etc. — that require us to think practically from the start.”
