Recently awarded the Algiers Ferry Terminal renovation, a $9.5 million project, CDW Services also works with renovation specialists for the renewal of historical sites and buildings. In 2021, CDW Services worked closely on the preservation of the McDonogh 19 Mixed Use Facility, the very site in 1960 where Leona Tate, Gail Etienne, and Tessie Prevost courageously stepped through the doors of the previously all-white school, shattering decades of segregation. CDW won the 2023 Richard H Driehaus National Preservation Award for this project. Other notable historical projects CDW has completed are the renovation & preservation of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation Headquarters, Gravier School House (formerly McDonogh 30 & built in the late 1800’s ), and the RTA Napoleon Facility (built in 1892, all of which CDW has been recognized and received the Excellence in Historic Preservation Award by the Louisiana Landmarks Society.
