Kristen Rauch began PK Weddings and Events in 2017 after a 20-plus-year career in sales and events with Marriott International. Planning events in New Orleans for over 25 years has provided Kristen with the knowledge of the intricacies of planning an event here, and it has blessed her with wedding professionals who share the same passion for creating the perfect day for our clients. From small, bespoke, intimate weddings to larger ones filled with grandeur, Kristen prides herself on handcrafting weddings that speak to the couple’s personal style by prioritizing each couple’s own unique identity, not just in their color palette, décor, and style, but, very importantly, in creating once-in-a-lifetime memories for their guests.
“We had a couple who chose New Orleans as their wedding city, even though they no longer lived here,” recalls Kristen. “Their celebration was a beautiful fusion of their respective family heritages, Caribbean and Chinese, integrated with the spirit of New Orleans. To that end, we helped craft a bespoke menu featuring New Orleans cuisine alongside Caribbean and Chinese influences, décor that featured the color and flair from both cultures, and planned entertainment featuring Mocho Jumbies, stilt walkers, and Chinese Dragons. All of the details spoke to their love for each other, their family, and their favorite city where their journey began.”
