In many ways, New Orleans Halloween is a grownup affair filled with boozy, costumed fun in the French Quarter, late-night scary movies and parties into the wee hours all weekend long. There are a few events geared toward kids and family friendly activities however.
While a few have already come and gone (think Ghost in the Oaks at City Park, Boo at the Zoo and the Krewe of Boo parade), if you are a parent looking for a way to cap off Spooky Season with your little ones this weekend, the Longue Vue Fall Fest is a great bet.
On Saturday, Oct. 29 from 3 to 5 p.m., enjoy costume contests, games, seasonal crafts and trick-or-treating at the historic house and gardens. Tickets are $10 per person and you’d be hard pressed to find a more gorgeous setting for autumnal entertainment.Â
