The 2012 “Roast of the Town,” benefiting Delgado Community College, was held on Friday, April 20, at Harrah’s Casino Theater.

The event featured a reception, silent auction, live auction dinner and roast of Donald “Boysie” Bollinger, Chairman of the Board, President and CEO of Bollinger Shipyards. Celebrity roasters included Lt. Gov. Jay Dardenne, U.S. Congressman Jeff Landry, U.S. District Judge Stanwood R. Duval Jr., Secretary of State Thomas “Tom” Schedler and President of the Livingston Group L.L.C. Robert L. “Bob” Livingston.

The live auction featured a “Gateway Golf Vacation.” The silent auction, hosted by WWL-TV, Channel 4 anchor Eric Paulsen, featured items and gift certifcates from: the Audubon Institute, Café Degas, Café Du Monde, Elmwood Fitness Center, Kidsport, Martin Wine Cellar, Mignon Faget, Octavia Book Store, Muriel’s Jackson Square, the National WWII Museum, the New Orleans Zephyrs and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. The auction also gave guests the chance to win a night stay in the Hotel Montelone and the Royal Sonesta Hotel. Acme Oyster House, Andrea’s, Besh Steak House, Café Giovanni, Zea’s and more provided dining.
