On Oct. 10, things wrapped up at New York Bridal Fashion Week for fall 2017. Bridal giants like Carolina Herrera and Monique Lhuillier brought their usual A-game designs, while Reem Acra and Rita Vinieris debuted new styles and show-stopping silhouettes.
Many of the designers played between romantic, fairylike stories of tulle, chiffon and big flowing skirts; and sleek satin or charmeuse modern constructions with hints of ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s fashion.
A few new players entered the game and made a big statement. Viktor & Rolf was by far our favorite new line. Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren debuted their first Viktor & Rolf Mariage line as a part of a new license with wedding specialist Justin Alexander. The 25-piece collection offers brides a little bit of everything. They included the big trends of the whole weekend including pants, sleek silhouettes and vintage Hollywood-looking styles to name a few. LTEC is truly excited to see what they bring to the bridal arena.
Other staples seen throughout the shows included short skirts, pants, long sleeves, deep v-necklines and big skirts.
