METAIRIE, La (press release) – Felipe’s Taqueria has officially opened their much-anticipated 2004 Metairie Rd. location with a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the newest addition to the Jefferson Parish culinary footprint. Known for their “small batch, made from scratch” fast-casual concept, the $1.5 million, 3,000-square-foot restaurant was designed by Mouton Long Turner Architects with Carriere-Stumm Construction serving as builders. Butler Holding, a real estate investment and development firm, partnered in the project.
“We’ve had our eyes set on this location for some time. To have the ability to expand in the city that has contributed so much to our success is incredible,” said Pike Howard, owner/Finance & Development. “We look forward to connecting and serving the Metairie community and just being a part of this great parish. The welcome we’ve experienced has been phenomenal.”
Similar to the other Felipe’s locations, the new restaurant has the classic U-shaped bar design that allows guests to have a full-service menu where you’ll find familiar items like tacos, burritos, nachos and the best hand-squeezed margaritas around. Patrons will also enjoy a beautiful outdoor patio and green space on the side of the restaurant, equipped with entertainment systems to enjoy while you are eating your meal along with windows that butterfly open to the bar, revealing the additional outdoor seating. Touch screen kiosks are also available to skip the line altogether and order straight from the patio. The restaurant has also introduced cozy booths equipped with charging stations for electronic devices.
“It’s truly the Felipe’s of the Future,” said Howard. “We worked hard to design a concept that felt new and fresh, with nods to modern Mexico, while still giving it that neighborhood feel. We want this to be your favorite place to unwind, to have a working lunch or just to bring the whole family for a fuss-free meal without compromising on quality. We are thrilled to be in Metairie and look forward to serving our newest patrons.”
Felipe’s Metairie hours are 11:30 a.m. – 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11:30 a.m. – 9 p.m. on Sunday. Happy hour mirrors similar locations with the same 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. daily window offering drink specials and $2 tacos.
