NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Officials from Fidelity Bank and the Louisiana Hospitality Foundation (LHF) revealed the final total of funds raised from the fourth-annual P.O.W.E.R. Plates Program. Every July, the month-long, statewide celebration of women in the hospitality industry is part of Fidelity Bank’s “Potential of Women Entrepreneurs Realized” (P.O.W.E.R.) program. A check for $20,057.41 was presented to LHF at Drago’s Seafood Restaurant in November.
As the hospitality industry continues to bounce back from the challenges of recent years, P.O.W.E.R. Plates aims to raise awareness by driving business to women-led restaurants, hotels, and bars across South Louisiana.
“P.O.W.E.R. Plates marries the core values of Fidelity Bank P.O.W.E.R. and the Louisiana Hospitality Foundation in a unique way,” said Kati LeBreton, Fidelity Bank Director of P.O.W.E.R. “It’s an honor to raise funds that provide financial assistance during emergencies and highlight the dynamic women in our state’s hospitality industry.”
During the month of July, guests who visited any of the 50+ restaurants and bars enrolled in the program were able to choose the special P.O.W.E.R. Plates featured dish or beverage and have $1 donated to the Louisiana Hospitality Foundation. Fidelity Bank matched donations up to $2,500.
“Having female leaders in Louisiana’s hospitality industry is not only critical to the career advancement of women, but stands to generate broader societal impacts,” said LHF Executive Board Member Lisa Ramsay. “We love programs like Fidelity Bank’s P.O.W.E.R. Women need role models and we are thrilled to put the spotlight on the ones right here in our community.”
Both organizations are looking forward to P.O.W.E.R. Plates in 2024.
