Robert Cousins has owned Deblanc Pharmacy, located on Grand Route St. John, for 50 years. During his half century of providing pharmacy services to his neighbors in the Faubourg St. John neighborhood, Robert has seen the area undergo many changes. He explains why he has been able to remain in business for five decades and recalls what the neighborhood was like when he first opened Deblanc’s doors. Robert tells us how the businesses in the area have changed dramatically through the years and he describes a home on Bayou St. John where the last Confederate soldiers lived and died. Listen here!
