Final Fling before the Ring

New Orleans has recently been named one of the top 10 destinations for bachelorette parties. The company Thumbtack posed the question, “which cities are the most popular in 2015 for bachelorette parties?” – based on the number of bachelorette-related requests they receive each year. Thumbtack is a company that connects couples to the to wedding and home improvement professionals, in  their area. Thumbtack used its data and requests for bachelorette related items on its site to compile list of most popular bachelorette destinations around the country. New Orleans, no surprise to us, made the site’s top 10 list.

The website also put together a list of the most requested bachelorette activities. The top two activities included food, specifically cooking lessons and a personal chef.

A cooking lesson in New Orleans is guaranteed to bring a good time to anyone involved. The New Orleans Cooking Experience brings cooking lesson options to any type or size of group. There also is a weekend experience for those coming from outside the city.

Melanie Spencer, LTEC co-writer, has done the leg work when it comes to the best locations around the city to enjoy and relax at the swankiest spa accommodations. Click here to see her suggestions and experience.

Instead of pole dancing lessons, those visiting the city for their bachelorette parties should take advantage of New Orleans’ vast burlesque culture. New Orleans Magazine recently dove into the history and influence burlesque has on the city. Local burlesque queen Trixie Minx assisted in the feature and just so happens to teach burlesque classes to those wanting to take up the art. See my experience with Trixie’s class here and email trixie@TrixieMinx.com to request your own class.
