Finding Fashion Success in Matching Sets

I resisted matching sets for an awfully long time, not because I didn’t love how they looked, but because they felt like a shortcut. As if I were somehow cheating my own creative process, skipping the thrill of assembling an outfit piece by piece, of discovering unexpected combinations in the pursuit of something new. And yet, as the trend proves its staying power, I find myself increasingly tempted. After all, a set is a quiet overachiever; two pieces that can be worn together or solo, effortlessly yielding three distinct outfits with minimal effort.

Sets are lining the racks in local shops right now, some more intentionally stylish than others. Perhaps instead of throwing on my usual tired leggings and t-shirt, I’ll opt for a set. Something to run errands in on the weekends that doesn’t scream, I’m tired. Although I am. Yes, a set is going to turn it all around! Here are my picks for cute yet comfortable sets to wear now through summer.
