NEW ORLEANS (press release) – The Day of European languages will take place on May 21, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Deutsches Haus. This event is coordinated by the French Consulate in Louisiana on the occasion of the French Presidency of the European Union. This day will aim to bring together the different European communities around fun activities for students and their families.
French Presidency of the European Union
On January 1, 2022, France kicked off its 13th presidency of the Council of the European Union, the grouping of the 27 EU governments. For six months, France will be responsible for chairing meetings and finding compromises between member states under the slogan of a “Europe that protects“. In this framework, the Consulate General of France in New Orleans, together with the Deutsches Haus and Alliance Française, are organizing a special day to celebrate European Languages and promote cultural diversity.
