Yesterday, we shared a new series in which we decided to highlight bachelorette party activities in New Orleans that don’t (necessarily) involve alcohol.
In the first post of the series, we focused on fun fitness. One organization that’s adding a little fun into your workout is Footprints to Fitness.
We added the company — owned and operated by fitness professional and WWLTV traffic reporter April Dupre — to our list, but we’re revisiting it again today, because of the new extended packages the company now offers. Not only does Footprints to Fitness offer the option to attend regular classes like yoga and dance fitness, but there are also packages dedicated just to bachelorette parties or bridal parties. These packages even include champagne and massages to create a fuller wellness experience.
The fitness company offers a variety of fitness and wellness experiences. There are more traditional yoga, Zumba, barre and Pilates, but the real party starts with classes like puppy yoga, twerk fitness, brunch and burn, adult field day, cocktails and coloring and even the opportunity to get a custom choreographed wedding dance.
In addition to sweating it out, whether traditionally or with puppy yoga, Footprints offers pampering sessions that include massages, facials, manis, pedis and hair and fashion stylists. If you want to make it a complete experience, add lagniappe items like food, cocktails and mocktails, a photographer or videographer and more depending on request.
And finally, specifically for bridal parties, there are three Footprints packages groups can choose from for their event, such as “Geaux Saints,” “Throw Me Somethin’ Mista” or the “Let The Good Times Roll.”
Each package includes a 60-minute fitness session plus a wellness experience, as well as a custom playlist and complimentary water for the group. The second tier — “Throw Me Somethin’ Mista” — includes an additional champagne or mimosa toast for the bride and her friends. A healthy and light breakfast and snacks are added on to complete the third package the “Let The Good Times Rolle” package.
Noted in the package information is the option to add extra services including photo/video; live brass band or DJ; shirts, sashes and handkerchiefs; or a portion of the proceeds going to the rescue organization of the guru puppies in attendance for adding puppies to a yoga class .
New Orleans is a good time city and that extends even to our physical fitness. We think a puppy yoga class, followed by a facial, a light breakfast and a champagne toast all set to the sound of a brass band sounds like a memorable trip to us.
