George Andrews Gaines wanted to propose to Callie Ann Foreman on a terrace at Barton Creek in Austin, Texas. When Andy and Callie wandered over to the terrace before dinner, Andy was shocked to see that there was a wedding reception in the exact spot he imagined the proposal. Thinking quickly on his feet, Andy and Callie started walking down the golf course and he dropped down on one knee and asked Callie to be his wife.
The Gaines family hosted a lovely Rehearsal Dinner at Brennan’s of Houston in preparation for the June 13, 2015 wedding. Callie and Andy wed at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Houston with coordination assistance by Danyett Baxter with Two Be Wed event planning.
After the church ceremony, guests gathered at the Julia Ideson Library. Guests dinned on delicious bites from Cordua, wedding cake from Sugary and Chic and a groom’s cake from Three Brother’s Bakery. Photographer Kelli Elizabeth documented the entire evening while guests danced to the music of KlockWork from Houston. Once it was time to leave, guests left with the favors of Shipley’s Donut holes and mini Chandon champagne bottles.
After the wedding, the two honeymooned in Anguilla for one week before settling back into their Houston home. Callie works for Foreman Homes and Andy is a commercial lender for IBERIABANK.
