NEW ORLEANS (press release) – The Society for Academic Emergency Medicine, (SAEM) in partnership with LCMC Health, and ACCENT New Orleans will be conducting FREE blood pressure and diabetes checks for anyone in the community.
People can walk up, bike, or drive by. Each person will receive their results and have an opportunity to speak with an on-site physician. They will receive:
- Any test results on-site
- Physician will give them suggestions/refer them to a (free) clinic if they do not have a primary doctor
- Receive a one-sheet of information about healthy living, diabetes and blood pressure
