Marci Schramm is the executive director of French Quarter Festivals Incorporated. In today's podcast, Schramm explains that French Quarter Festivals Inc. actually operates three separate festivals: French Quarter Festival, Satchmo Summerfest and Christmas New Orleans Style.This year – 2013 – marks the French Quarter Festival's 30th anniversary and Schramm describes an exciting new stage that will feature popular Cajun Zydeco music. Schramm and her staff work hard to make this festival a great experience for visitors and locals, alike. For example, for the first time, the festival is offering a free shuttle from the Central Business District and free PediCab transportation. According to Schramm, "This year there are 21 stages and over 60 restaurants."
