French Truck Releases 2020 Mardi Gras Blend

NEW ORLEANS (press release) –Geoffrey Meeker, owner of French Truck Coffee headquartered in New Orleans, announced the release of the Mardi Gras blend for the 2020 carnival season. Big Chief, a unique blend of naturally processed coffees from El Salvador, Ethiopia, and Brazil, is now available for a limited time. French Truck Coffee will donate a portion of sales of every 12 oz. bag of Big Chief to BeLite504, an after-school youth program powered by BMIKE and Studio Be.

“This is our fourth year to offer Big Chief, and since it’s only available during Carnival season, it’s in high demand,” states Meeker. “While Mardi Gras season just got started, it ends in only seven weeks, so grab some now to enjoy with your king cake or to keep you moving through your busy parade schedule.” The Big Chief blend has notes of toffee, plum, orange liqueur and dark chocolate, culminating in a decadent, creamy cup of coffee.

The French Truck Coffee Shop and Café on Dryades, two Magazine Street shops, and the French Quarter and Central Business District locations are all located just off the parade routes, so it’s an easy stop before and after parades. Bags of the Big Chief blend are available for $16.50 per bag in shops and online. Big Chief can be ground to your specification at the time of purchase or can be taken home to grind yourself. Let the good times roll!
