NEW ORLEANS (press release) – On Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 17 and 18, the Friends of the New Orleans Public Library (FNOPL) will host an outdoor book sale at the Milton H. Latter Library, 5120 St Charles Ave, New Orleans, Louisiana.
Browse our Open Air Book Sale worry-free on the tented front lawn of the Latter Library. ALL genres of books will be available. Hundreds of used children’s books – board books through young adult, a huge selection of antique and rare books and everything in between will be on-sale with prices starting at $1.00.
Through fundraisers like this one, FNOPL Executive Director Dixon Stetler says, FNOPL can fund important Library programs, and also provide access to high quality reading materials that are affordable to all. “The public library needs community support now more than ever before. The Friends of the New Orleans Public Library raises funds from events like these year-round to underwrite critical library programming, including the annual Summer Reading Program, Black History Month Programming, and the Every Child Ready to Read Program.”
For those rare finds or popular books, browse our members-only hour from 10 until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday by becoming a member of the Friends of the New Orleans Public Library. For more information or to become a donor or member online, visit www.friendsnola.org.
