NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Galatoire’s Restaurant and Galatoire Foundation will hold their annual Christmas table auction on Monday, Dec. 4, from 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m. This year, NAMI New Orleans and Bayou District Foundation have been chosen as table partners of the annual Christmas and Mardi Gras table auctions along with Galatoire Foundation. Additionally, this year, Galatoire’s has chosen eight micro grant recipients: Electric Girls, Girls on the Run, Historic BK House and Gardens, Hotel Hope, Project Lazarus, Raphael Village, St. Michael Special School and YEAH! YOGA. The event will feature a live auction, beverages and complimentary hors d’oeuvres from Executive Chef Phillip Lopez.
The two auctions—one before Christmas and one ahead of Mardi Gras—allow attendees the rare opportunity to reserve a table in the first floor main dining room the Fridays before the two holidays, the busiest days of the year for the famed restaurant.
Since 2006, the Christmas and Mardi Gras table auctions have raised more than $3.5 million for local charities.
