Galatoire’s Plans Reopening of Dining Rooms

NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Galatoire’s is excited to announce it will reopen its dining rooms in Galatoire’s and Galatoire’s “33” Bar and Steak with limited capacity on Wednesday, May 20 in accordance with Gov. John Bel Edwards’ Phase 1 reopening plan. Galatoire’s will be accepting reservations in all dining rooms.

Galatoire’s full menu will be available in all dining rooms across both restaurants. Daily specials will also be available featuring signature dishes from the Galatoire’s “33” Bar and Steak menu during this time when the restaurants are open under limited capacity.

To ensure the health and safety of employees and patrons, guests choosing to dine-in will be asked to make a reservation first. If there is space available, walk-ins will be accepted, and a reservation will be made for them on the spot.

“We’re excited for the opportunity to start moving the economy and to welcome our patrons back into our dining rooms. We are taking the safety protocols very seriously and we have confidence that our guests will too,” said Melvin Rodrigue, president and CEO of Galatoire’s. “We are looking forward to moving through to Phase 2.”

The health and safety of Galatoire’s patrons, community and staff remains priority, as it always has. The restaurant is taking extra proactive measures in accordance with state, local and CDC recommended guidelines to ensure the kitchen and dining facilities are receiving the utmost care and attention. A detailed set of protocols has been created in addition to their routine health and safety precautions. The days leading up to the reopening will give their team the necessary time to reinforce the standards that they have always upheld and implement these new protocols. The detailed protocols are meant to support the restaurant’s goal of ensuring the safety of employees and guests, as well as prevention of viral spread while providing a comfortable and enjoyable guest experience.
