NEW ORLEANS (press release) – The Garden District Book Shop is thrilled to announce that author and Louisiana native Ashley Elston and the incomparable Octavia Spencer will be at the shop on Feb. 29 to celebrate Elston’s debut work, “First Lie Wins.”
“First Lie Wins,” the #1 New York Times bestselling adult debut from Elston and Reese’s Book Club pick for January, is a stylish and twisty thriller, already in development by Spencer and “Grey’s Anatomy” showrunner Krista Vernoff.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. with Elston and Spencer sitting down shortly after to chat about First Lie Wins and its upcoming adaptation, and take audience questions. Elston will afterwards be available to chat with guests and sign copies of her book. Spencer will also be available to sign copies of her books from her Randi Rhodes, Ninja Detective series. All books will be available for purchase on site.
Entry to the event is free and open to the public but the shop strongly encourages interested parties to RSVP to ensure entry and reserve a copy of the book on Eventbrite ($30) as space is limited.
