Get ready for The Secret Gardens Tour! I chose one of the fabulous featured gardens on Joseph Street, owned by Holly and Geoffrey Snodgrass, to highlight the event and give you some fun ideas for entertaining in your garden.
Their garden is formal, yet full of textures and blooming shrubs and outdoor rooms with carpets of monkey grass and evergreen walls of Japanese Yew.
I set up two entertaining areas: one for a buffet, complete with an Oriental carpet; the other for a seated dinner. I went to the Green Parrot on Nashville Avenue and collected ivy, dill, maidenhair fern and lavender. I wrapped the pots with lettuce leaves and ribbons. I used fresh cauliflower, garden roses, white hydrangeas and mini carnations for
my flower arrangements and tucked pansies and hydrangea throughout the faux-leaf tablecloth.
