The Idea Village’s second annual fund-raiser, “What’s the Big Idea,” was held at the Renaissance Arts Hotel—and the “Big Idea,” by the way, is entrepreneurship—according to this local nonprofit organization.
Presented by Fertile Crescent Entertainment and Y.M.O. Enterprises, entertainment was Sir Earl Toon of Kool & The Gang, Edward Anderson and Bleu Orleans with special appearances by Allen Toussaint and others. Each performer, however, had the crowd of over 500 dancing late into the night.
The party raked in more than $100,000, which will go to accelerating the growth of entrepreneurial companies in the New Orleans region.
