Ghouls, Ghosts, Gators and Gorillas

Boo at the Zoo continues to entertain.

Where else can you hang out with ghosts, goblins, fairy princesses, alligators, orangutans and bears?

Try the Audubon Zoo in October, though “Boo at the Zoo”, held October 23-25 was more fun than scary, with hundreds of costumed kids gathering to trick-or-treat, to play games, to win prizes and to generally unleash their wild sides. Papillon, Johnette Downing and Dennis & Co. provided live entertainment.

Other highlights included a haunted house and the Mombassa Ghost Train. Even the Zephyrs and the Hornets had representation!

One of the country’s top-ranked zoos, Audubon Zoo offers a mix of animals from around the globe, engaging natural habitats, lush gardens and resting spots, the mystical Louisiana swamp and “hands-on” animal encounters. The event benefited Children’s Hospital.
