Give thanks during the holiday season: #iGiveCatholic

Cory Howat is executive director of the Catholic Foundation. In 2015, the Catholic Foundation of the Archdiocese of New Orleans began #iGiveCatholic. The online, one-day-long fundraising campaign supports Catholic organizations around the country. Funds from the endeavor go toward feeding the hungry, providing shelter for the homeless, and supporting other Catholic initiatives. This year, the designated online giving day is Tuesday, Nov. 28, from midnight until 11:59 p.m., CST. According to Howat, #iGiveCatholic is similar to GiveNOLA Day, another familiar online giving platform. Donors should simply go to the #iGiveCatholic web page and select which organization(s) they wish to support. In this podcast, Howat explains program details and describes how the participating organizations will use supporters’ donations. For information, visit igivecatholic.org.
